The new release WPViewPDF 2.28 optimizes page selection. There are new commands to check if a page was selected and also to save/restore a selection. Most important the SHIFT key can be used to select a range of pages.

This new release implements a new algorithm to render rotated pages. This avoids problems with such PDFs which were seen in former builds.

The command "Roate" now takes the parameter "selected" to rotate the selected pages only.

Also optimized was the compatibility to PDF files which use advanced index structures. This should fix the problem "root not found".

WPViewPDF V2.20 is now available.

This is an important new release. We enhanced the PDF engine in several aspects and also added new features:
- add JPEG image files to existing PDF files (scaled, cloned and rotated)
- create PNG files from PDF pages. You can specify the resoltion. (see pdfMakeJPEG)
- when merging PDF files metadata (XMP data) will be created. The metadata of the first PDF file will be preserved.
- option to print scanned documents by extracting the monochrome image data and print that directly

WPTools V5.38 is available now. It includes several improvements to the editor and stability fixes. Attributes of selected text are now collected differently. The SelectedTextAttr interface will now report "undefined" for a certain attribute (such as Font or Size) if it is not uniform.

The "Multi Demo" (wpdemo.zip 3MB) features the new WPTools version 5.38, WPSpell and also WPViewPDF and wPDF.

RTF2PDF / TextDynamicServer V3.65

It is a fully programmable word processing engine for deployment with end user applications (DLL, VB, .NET) and on ASP or ASP.NET servers for text and PDF creation.
This release includes the latest improvements to our PDF engine for PDF/A support and better font embedding.

Now you can optionally use the reporting engine which is also available in TextDynamic. So you can use a document which contains some tokens for fields and bands to create a report. Only two events must be handled to create a new document.

Note: The new demo resets the demo timeout for RTF2PDF and TextDynamic (Free demo on download page).

TextDynamic V1.45 - an important new release is available now!
This new relases implements a powerful, yet easy to use reporting tool (requires optional license). You can use standard documents enhanced with '<<...>>' tokens to mark fieds and bands and you are ready to create a report. There is even a syntax higlighting mode which marks the tokens in the text without touching the text attributes, such as text color or text font.

But there is more, a new TableToText action converts a table into tabbed or delimited text. The manual has been reorganized to make it easier to find the required information and the editing has been generally enhanced.

The new version of our PDF viewer control WPViewPDF V2.18 is available now.

WPViewPDF opens PDF files almost instantly, even if they have hundreds of pages. Within a PDF file you can scroll from top to bottom, you are not restricted to a one page only preview. With the PLUS edition You can not only merge PDF files, you can also render text and vectors on selected pages (= "stamping"), extract and modify the info items or apply encryption. It is also possible to delete certain (selected) pages.

Several aspects have been checked and redone in V2.18

- rotated images are displayed better,
- the support for certain PDF files created by scanner has been enhanced.
- a workaround for a certain printer problem has been implemented (upside down monochrom images)

WPViewPDF V2.14 - this release introduces the method "pdfMakeJPEG" which can be used to convert certain PDF pages to JPEG files.
This function is exported by the engine DLL to make it easy to convert PDF pages into JPEG files. No object has to be created and no initialization is required.

It also solves a problem with PDF stamping.

It includes 3 new exciting features:
a) It is now also able to print the text - you can also select the printer,
b) it comes with a DLL to open a website over a HTTP connection,
c) it includes a special HTML formatting mode which is capable to format HTML much better than before since it autosizes table cells.
We have updated the demo application to show this new abilities.

TextDynamic V1.42 is available now. This release improves the handling and general stability and fixes problems with table rendering.

We also improved the possibility to add popup menus in the GUI definion file. Now the tolbar also shows a button to insert images. The PDF export was improved and the UTF8 HTML is now automatically activated.

The demo uses a new timeout ID, this means You can use the demo for 45 days also if you had a previous version of TextDynamic installed before.

TextDynamic V1.40 is available now. This release improves the handling and general stability. We also added a possibility to replace colors with grayscale values when printing. Also updated was wRTF2PDF/TextDynamic Server, our electronic document creation solution.

WPTools Service release V5.35.1 is available to download for registered customers.

This release includes several improvents to editing, loading and saving routines. There is now also a routine "WPRichText1.TextCursor.CurrAttribute.AInc" which is able to increate the font size of selected text. The new PrintOption flag "wpAllColorsAreBlack" can be used in case the printer has problems with colored text.

WPViewPDF has been greatly improved. It now has the ability to work with virtual PDF data. The pages are only requires when really neaded, the user can scroll within a virtual document which consists of multiple PDF files.

WPViewPDF PLUS can now use a stringlist with text and position information to add text to an existing document. This is perfect if you need to fill out forms.

Some bug fixes are included, i.e. fix a problem with right click on the bookmark view.

WPViewPDF is now available as Mainenance release V 1.40. The PDF viewing engine has been further enhanced.

The text display is a lot better now since it uses anti aliasing when smaller zoom values are selected. The PDF engine has been improved to handle inline images and symbol fonts a lot better.

WPViewPDF opens PDF files almost instantly, even if they have hundreds of pages. Within a PDF file you can scroll from top to bottom, you are not restricted to a one page only preview.

With the "PLUS" version it is now possible to add text and vector graphics to certain pages of a PDF file (pdf stamping). Any text will be converted to vectors - this allows it to use special fonts. The graphics will be already visible in the viewer before the PDF data has been updated!

A new pdfMerge function exported by the PLUS version makes it possible to use just one DLL call to combine several PDF files to one. The registered PLUS version includes an additional DLL which converts TIFF files (created by scanner software) "on the fly" to PDF data so they can be merged just like PDF files.

TextDynamic V1.31 is now available for download (Demo, Manual).
When using .NET the method SetDLLName will now pre-load the engine. This improves the speed when a lot editors are created dynamically. The method ReleaseInt() releases an interfaces at once and avoids problem with garbage collection. We added to the the already powerful API: ASetCellProp and ASetCellStyle to apply certain properties to a range of cells in a table, such as header cells, footer cells, cells in odd rows or cells in even rows. Also new is a method to sort the rows in a table.

wRTF2PDF Version 3.50.5 is now available. It provides a complete programming interfaces (OCX and .NET assembly) to create text in code, to do mail merge, to manipulate the text or to update fields. From now on RTF2PDF will be much more than just an RTF to PDF conversion engine, it is the ultimate tool to create documents (RTF, HTML, PDF, MIME) using ASP or ASP.NET. The API now provided by RTF2PDF is almost the same as the API of our visual word processing component TextDynamic. This makes it possible to use similar code for either product. wPDFControl V3 is now available. It supports file embedding, CID-Fonts and creates smaller PDF files due to automatic image reuse.

wPDFControl / wRTF2PDF V2.94 uses a different an improved way to initialize the internal metafile to avoid the necessity to use a printer as reference. It also introduces a new property DebugPath which makes it possible to create debug metafiles. Simply use SetSProp(16, "c:\temp") to create metafiles in the mentioned directory. Now it is also possible to provde the license information as encrypted file - this has been included esspecially for ASP projects.

wPDF V3.06 is now available. It improves the CID-Font feature - there was a problem with some fonts which were not embedded correctly. The EMF conversion engine was enhanced to support pen join and end styles.

We also added a new, unique feature: data embedding! Now it is finally possible to store the document source which was used to create a PDF file within this PDF file. So, when you use WPTools for the PDF creation you can store the RTF source document inside of the created PDF data, the user only has to click on an icon to extract this document. This can be a great feature if you use it to embed programming examples within your programming manual!

You can now order a powerful WPTools 5 support unit for FastReport (Version 3 and 4). It is based on a new technology which gets the most out of the advanced WPTools 5 formatting algorithm. So it is possible to even print the document header and footer. If you need to export the report to PDF we recommend wPDF - this product will also export the WPTools objects in your report - and not convert them into bitmaps. There is now also a new WPTools 5 ReportBuilder support unit available (V9 + 10)- it is based on the same technology as the FastReport unit.

TextDynamic V1.29 is now available for download. Please also see the complete release notes.
It now has a powerful label feature (creation, preview and print). In combination with mail merge you can create mailing labels easily. There is also a new interface to create e-mail messages, including attached HTML text and images.
Optionally you can use the integrated MIME encoder to create an e-mail message without the need to work with temporary files.
We have improved the project which shows how to use the ability to store multiple documents in one editor at the same time. Even a tab set can be added to switch between the documents. With this feature you can avoid the problems connected to MDI projects. The demo is called "Simulated MDI" and it is available as C# and VB.NET project.

WPTools V5.21 is now available. It supports zooming when using the mouse wheel and ctrl key. The HTML reader and writer have been improved. We have also added some functions for better compatibility with projects developed with WPTools V4 plus minor bug fixes.

TextDynamic V1.27.7 is now available for download. There is a new demo developed in VB.NET which shows how to use TextDynamic on MDI child windows and attach an external toolbar.

The toolbar now uses a new shaded theme (called Titanium) which can also be customized to use other colors. Also available is "Brushed Metal" which can also be selected as background for the dialogs. You can optionally load bitmaps to be used tiled or stretched in the background of the panels!

Also now available: Reporting! The developer can set up an outline of groups, bands, calculated variables and fields and the user can modify it according to his hore her needs (change fonts or styles). When completed, a document is created which incorporates the text from the template with data from one or multiple queries. Unlike other reporting engines, TextDynamic produces documents, not just RTF files which consist of multiple text objects and are so hardly editable.

WPViewPDF, our powerful PDF viewing component is now available as Version 1.29. Using new DeletePage commands certain pages can be removed from the viewer. The component WPViewPDF PLUS has been further enhanced. You can modify the info strings in a PDF file, merge multiple PDF files into a new one and remove pages from PDF files. It is also possible to apply security features when a PDF file is written.

TextDynamic V1.25 is now available. It is a powerful WYSIWYG word processing and mail merge component with support for CSS style sheets, tables, header+footer texts, images and optianally integrated spellchecking and PDF creation.

The text control comes with assemblies for .NET 1.1 and 2 which can be used in C# and VB.NET. The also included ActiveX control, it can be used in systems such as Visual Basic 6 or MS Access, has been checked through to make it more robust and deployment easy. The bindable property "Text" now works with a variant array of bytes to make it possible to connect it to a binary field, such as an OleObject field in MS Access, which allows much faster loading and saving.
When working with the editor in MS Access the delete key was not working - this problem has been resolved.

New features in this release:
It is now possible to create pop menus in the GUI description file.
The included PDF engine is the far advanced wPDF V3 with unicode and PDF/A support.

wPDF Version 3 is available now. The wPDF V2 engine has been used successfully in literally thousands of applications - Version 3 is based on the same reliable and tested engine and adds an internal improvements to create smaller PDF files, esspeically when images are used. Most important and unique to the market it adds PDF/A and unicode (CID font) support. Now the standard brush styles are supported and using the GDI API TransparentBitBlt you can print a bitmap transparently by specifying the transparent color.

WPViewPDF is a powerful control to view PDF files. With the "PLUS" version you can also merge multiple PDF files into one new PDF file. The latest version WPViewPDF 1.27.5 solves a problem which caused a wrong text display if the user did not have enough writing permissions.

wPDF V2.75 includes enhancements to the PDF conversion engine. The Arc and ArcTo GDI command is not supported. The VCL has been optimized for multi threaded use and tested on a 4 CPU high end server. We recommend to use the PLUS version in multi threaded applications, but the DLL version also passed the tests.

The reference contains new example code in Visual Basic and C#. The programming API has been carefully checked and improved. You can now create outlines with legal numbering, modify paragraphs in code without having to move the cursor, highlight words, create tables and hyperlinks inside fields when doing mail merge.

TextDynamic is not only a powerful replacement for the .NET richtextbox (richedit DLL) but a complete and full featured word processing component. It can be used with and without its integrated toolbar. The basis licenses (Euro 330.60 incl VAT) already includes support for mail merge, HTML, numbering, header/footer, paragraph styles and tables. WPTools VCL V5.18 is now available. The table handling has been improved a lot. Our customer Generali is using this new version and wPDF to print their form - as you see on the screenshot, it is complicated and uses narrow fonts.

It also improves WPReporter greatly. Now it is easier than ever to convert an existing document into a reporting template. So it is possible to auto create header/footer bands which match the header and footers included in the document (API: ConvertLetterIntoTemplate). A different API converts an existing table into a group with header and footer bands, ConvertTableIntoGroup. We have also added the possibility to wrap the text created by bands or groups into bookmarks.

WPTools 5.17.2 is now available. We improved the editor and fixed the few bugs which were reported. If you have licensed WPTools Premium and WPReporter you can now use text boxes and footnotes within a WPReporter template. This is a great feature if you want to create a report which explains some of the numbers using footnotes. The texts of the footnotes or textboxes may contain mailmerge fields but bands are not possible. The online documentation (HLP) has an updated category list.

Our PDF Viewing Component WPViewPDF 1.15 now comes with a new ActiveX component which loads the PDFViewing Engine DLL and offers an interface to it. This avoids version conflicts and still makes it easy to use WPViewPDF within VB and similar development systems. It is even possible to unload the DLL at runtime and load a different DLL!

WPTools 5.16 is now available for registered customers (Delphi demo VCL V5.15.5). With this new release the reporting tool WPReporter is much easier to use, there is also a new master-client demo and a step-by-step guide. WPTools 5 can handle multi section documents (different page sizes in same document) and is able to repeat certain rows in a table at the start and the end of a page. Important: The latest release solves a problem which did only occur when the application was compiled with Delphi 5.

WPViewPDF our high speed PDF viewer has been relesed in version 1.11. The internal selection of fonts was improved to display PDF files better. It can open PDF files which were encrypted with 128 bit security. The performace of the CCITT decompression routine has been enhanced. (Download Demo)

WPTools 5.14 is available for registered customers. This new release improves the handling of forms (formfields) and mail merge. The footnote support (included in the premium edition) has been optimized. The property dialog for paragraph and cell borders has been revised. Copy&Paste in table can be used now to overwrite the contents of neighbour cells instead of creating nested tables. The format routine has been checked carefully to improve the text wrap around images.

WPTools 5.13 can be downloaded by registered customers. It solves problems which occured under Windows 98. Many features have been added, i.e. the section handling and repeated table header and footer rows. WPReporter has been much improved. Please check out the new demo EXE.

WPTools 5.12 can be downloaded by registered customers. This new version includes new code to control the printer properties and many fixes to make editing smoother. Several demos have been added - the total number is now 45! There are also new VCL demos in the download section.

WPTools 5.11.1 is available for registered customers. It solves a problem with header/footer which are not selected for all pages. It also adds the possibility to lock certain headers and footers and makes it easy to use the TAB key to move the cursor around in a table.

WPTools 5.11 is available for registered customers. The editing of large texts works much smoother now because of a highly optimized reformat logic and because the preview component is not painted while the user is still typing.
New features are the support for SynEdit syntax highlighting modules, KeepN, and the loading of phpBB codes. The logic to create a table of contents has been updated and it is now also possible to create hyperlinks. The loading and saving of RTF and WPTOOLS formatted files has been improved.
